Since everyone else is doing it why shouldn't Michael Buble? Releasing live CD/DVD collections has become all the rage lately. And it makes sense for Michael Buble to do it as a big part of his appeal is the charisma he exhibits on stage.
These live recordings were done at a show in December 2008 at the famed Madison Square Garden in New York. It was his debut concert at MSG. Most of his best known tunes are included on the recording like "Call Me Irresponsible", "Feeling Good", "Home", and "Everything". The show will remind those old enough to remember them of a concert by the Rat Pack. He sounds great and several of the numbers are quite powerful.
The DVD is quite interesting as it gives you a fly on the wall view of the time leading up to the concert. There is also a rather emotional rendering of the return visit that Buble made to the Blue Note Club where he played his first New York show 6 years ago.
