Days Away was a band that Keith Goodwin and Tim Arnold were members of. The band broke up and they joined forces with Dan Schwartz to form Good Old War. Goodwin and Arnold had previously done progressive rock while Schwartz's band was steeped in Americana. Now they do acoustic folk. They do not try to fit into any preordained musical slot nor do they mould their sound to fit any current trend. Their sound is a throwback one that you'll think came from your Dad's record collection. They keep things short and sweet as the album is only 36 minutes long total. But you will definitely want to listen to it again and again. The songs will stick with you a good long while.
