Rockers MuteMath have been dubbed the hottest alternative band to come around in a good long while. They came into mainstream consciousness due to their track "Spotlight" from the wildly popular "Twilight" soundtrack. It was a number one single on the Billboard charts in the latter part of 2008. This single has been included on their latest album.

"Armistice" is filled with big vocals and catchy hooks. Most songs are upbeat and full of rhythmic drumming, a throbbing bass line and explosive vocals. Not your average alternative-rock outfit the band is definitely influenced by the electro sound. They are definitely trying to push the boundaries of what it means to be alternative. They wander from trip-hop to a Coldplay sound to a Radiohead one to a song with Middle Eastern strings and then full circle to a disco-influenced track.

Band members Paul Meany, Darren King, Greg Hill, and Roy Mitchell-Cardenas have matured much since the release of their debut album in 2006. This one possesses great emotion and musicality. A band on their way up.
