Sheffield, England's Arctic Monkeys released their third album this past fall and it is full of energy and an indication that they are willing to expand their horizons. Recorded in the United States at the famous Joshua Tree recording studios and also in a Brooklyn studio. The sound on this album is slightly heavier and fuller than on their previous two albums. It will initially seem a little slow compared to their previous stuff, but if you are patient and give it a few listens it will grow on you. They are an interesting mix of sad and at the same time jubilant lyrics. The songs will work their way into your brain and you'll have a hard time getting them out. Though "Humbug" is different there is enough of the Monkeys in it that fans will be content.
