It is the 1950s and married couple, Eddie (Adam LeBlanc) and Beatrice (Rebecca Croll) live in an Italian-American area called Red Hook right under the Brooklyn Bridge. Most of the people living in this area are Italian or Sicilian and many are illegal immigrants. A tight knit community, they govern themselves with rules and customs brought over from the old country.
The couple is raising their orphaned niece Catherine as their own. As the years pass Eddie finds himself with romantic feelings for Catherine (Christie Hebert). Conflict arises when Catherine falls for Beatrice's cousin visiting from Italy. Watch as Eddie struggles with his feelings and Beatrice tries to stand by her man.
This is a family drama presented by the Montreal Theatre Ensemble that has all the usual elements – conflict, love, betrayal, customs, tragedy, passions. A clash of the old ways and the new bring about trouble for all involved.
