Air Concert Preview

French electronica duo (Nicolas Godin and Jena-Benoit Dunkel) Air have been together since 1995. They have released seven albums with the latest being 2009's Love 2. Even if you are not a fan of the band you might have heard their music as they did the soundtrack for the film "The Virgin Suicides".

Classified as an electronic or trip hop act they owe much of their sound to the synthesizer music of the 1970s. You'll hear a little bit of Vengelis, Tangerine Dream and Pink Floyd in their songs. On their albums they have worked with the likes of Beck, Jarvis Cocker and Beth Hirsch. Several of their songs have been used in commercials and on the BBC series "Top Gear".

Live they play the instruments they used to record their albums like Moog synthesizers, Vocoder and Wurlitzer.
