A new album from The Steve Miller Band and we only had to wait 17 years! Obviously I am being sarcastic as 17 years is way too long to wait for a follow up album from any band. Especially when it comes to a band as beloved as The Steve Miller Band. It was recorded at George Lucas's studio, Skywalker Ranch, and it is the album that Miller has been waiting to do his whole life. It is the stuff of his youth as it is classic rhythm and blues. Growing up in Chicago this is the music he wanted to record. It might seem strange to fans of the popular songs the band has recorded as it is quite different sounding. The sound that results is the perfect mixture of hard work and fun. What makes it even more special is that Norton Buffalo (who died in 2009) plays on the album.
