Daniel Cohen is Dany Brillant. This singer was born in Tunisia, raised in Paris and sings in French. He has built his career upon releasing concept albums all centered around dancing. And by dancing I mean of the style from long ago. Listing crooners such as Frank Sinatra and Charles Aznavour as his influences it makes sense that he keeps releasing albums centered around that big band sound. His latest fuses 50s rock with mambo and Cuban cha-cha-cha. Even those of you out there who are most hesitant about getting up and taking a spin around the dance floor will have a hard time holding yourself back listening to this album. The album was recording in Puerto Rico, hence the name, under the guidance of the master of Puerto Rican music, Cuco Pena.
