Beginning as Rainbow Butt Monkeys, this rock quintet from Burlington, Ontario has gone on to release six albums and achieve mainstream success. Together since 1995 when they were all still in high school. Playing shows under the moniker of Rainbow Butt Monkeys they garnered some attention in Canada and even released an album entitled "Letters From Chutney". After some success they hired a management team and decided that they wanted to be taken more seriously and as such they became Finger Eleven.
After releasing two albums that did well in Canada they finally achieved mainstream success in 2003 with the release of the single "One Thing". The song was played on every type of radio station and went to the top of the charts here and Top 20 in the U.S. They followed up that success with the release of their fifth album, "Them vs. You vs. Me" in 2007. The biggest single of their career, "Paralyzer", became their first Top 10 single.
Finger Eleven has had a career that I'm sure five guys from Burlington could never have imagined. They have toured with the likes of Creed, Fuel and Kid Rock, had their songs featured in television shows and movies, won a Juno Award, wrote a song for WWF wrestler Kane, been awarded U.S. Gold Records and Canadian Platinum Records, won a MuchMusic Video Award, and have performed on the Jay Leno Show.
Their sixth album was released in the summer of 2010 and is entitled "Life Turns Electric".
