Very Andy Warhol this. Distorted guitar beats. Nintendo-like sounds. Clapping hands. Artistic yet accessible is what I mean. All very simple stuff and yet it works. Though simplicity is the name of the game none of the songs sound limp or lifeless. This Vancouver-based trio knows how to create sounds with guitars. Many guitars. Not too many though that it is overwhelming. Hard to pin them down as they are very chameleon-like with one song being disco inspired and the next sounding like Love and Rockets. Then it is off to dreamland for a couple of tracks.
