Star Trek: Fan Collective – Captain’s Logs

These Star Trek: Fan Collective series of DVDs (this is the fifth) are a Trekkies dream! Though these are obviously all previously seen episodes you get two episodes from each of the five captains that were voted by fans as their favourites and one chosen by each of the Captains (actors) themselves. You get three episodes (15 in total) from each of the series (The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise). Each episode is accompanied by a short introduction by the Captain/actor.

Disc One:
Episode 1: City on the Edge of Forever: Guest appearance by Joan Collins.

Episode 2: The Enterprise Incident: Captain Kirk is acting very strange and even takes the Enterprise into Romulan territory. Kirk and Spock go aboard a Romulan ship in order to try to figure out the cloaking device.

Episode 3: Balance of Terror: The Enterprise and a Romulan ship engage in a cat-and-mouse type chase.

Disc Two:
Episode 4: In Theory: Directed by Patrick Stewart. Data experiments with a human relationship.

Episode 5: Chain of Command: Captain Picard is captured by the Cardassians while taking part in a secret mission. During his capture he is tortured physically and mentally.

Episode 6: Darmok: Captain Picard and a Tamarian go against the grain as they have to work together while on a strange planet. Despite using his Translator Picard has a hard time understanding the Tamarian.

Disc Three:
Episode 7: Far Beyond the Stars: Sisko has some visions and the crew end up going back to the 1950s.

Episode 8: What You Leave Behind: The series finale. Everything is basically wrapped up.

Episode 9: In the Pale Moonlight: Sisko has a harder and harder time distinguishing between right and wrong when he starts working with Garak. They want to bring the Romulans into the Dominion War.

Disc Four:
Episode 10: Counterpoint: Captain Janeway has the task of bringing some telepaths though an area in which telepaths are outlawed.

Episode 11: The Omega Directive: While traveling through space the Omega symbol is flashed on almost every console on the ship. The mission becomes one of trying to destroy the Omega Molecules that have been detected.

Episode 12: Flashback: Tuvok does a mindmeld with Captain Janeway during an illness. Tuvok is brought back to his early days at the academy.

Disc Five:
Episode 13: Judgement: Captain Archer is put on trial by the Klingons. He is sentenced to serve out his punishment in a dilithium mine.

Episode 14: These Are the Voyages: Enterprises final episode.

Episode 15: First Flight: After a friend dies, Captain Archer reminisces about his past.
