An a cappella group that features great harmonies and voices have released a follow up album to their seasonal smash, Christmas Cheers. This one is filled with covers of popular songs from a wide range of genres. They have dared to put covers of Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Under the Bridge", Crowded House's "Don't Dream It's Over" and Coldplay's "Fix You" on the same album. On top of this type of variety they have a cover of Barry Manilow's "One Voice" that features guest vocals from the man himself, who is a fan of the group. Straight No Chaser has reworked each of the songs in their own unique style. You'll appreciate the talent involved from the first listen, but the more you listen to it the more you will be blown away with how they are able to mesh these 10 voices (Dan Ponce, Randy Stine, Walter Chase, Jerome Collins, Dave Roberts, Charlie Mechling, Ryan Ahlwardt, Mike Luginbill, Tyler Trepp, and Seggie Isho) together so well. The harmonies are beautiful and the solos are powerful. All this is accomplished without the use of even one instrument.
