In season four it seems like Dexter Morgan (played by Michael C. Hall) might have met his match in the smarts and serial killer fronts. It is a test of will and skill between Dexter and another serial killer. May the best man win!
All this is happening when Dexter shifts from a freewheeling, single serial killer into a husband and father. He has to keep the average guy façade while being an extraordinary man behind it.
Episode 1: Living the Dream: Dexter has to work a newborn son into his hectic life.
Episode 2: Remains to Be Seen: The cops at Miami Metro have two serial killers on their hands.
Episode 3: Blinded By the Light: The Trinity Killer (played by John Lithgow) strikes again.
Episode 4: Dex Takes a Holiday: Dexter has some free time on his hands when Rita (played by Julie Benz) takes the kids away.
Episode 5: Dirty Harry: Debra (played by Jennifer Carpenter) recovers from her physical injuries but is still greatly affected by the death of Lundy (played by Keith Carradine).
Episode 6: If I Had a Hammer: The tension between Rita and Dexter keeps growing so he turns to someone for relationship advice.
Episode 7: Slack Tide: Debra returns to work and begins working on trying to catch the Trinity Killer.
Episode 8: Road Kill: With Dexter out of town, Rita becomes close to a neighbour.
Episode 9: Hungry Man: Dexter tries to figure out the Trinity Killer by getting to know his family.
Episode 10: Lost Boys: A ten-year-old boy is taken by the Trinity Killer just when Dexter thinks he has them all figured out.
Episode 11: Hello, Dexter Morgan: Dexter has to stop Debra from identifying Arthur as the Trinity Killer.
Episode 12: The Getaway: Rita finally has to admit that her marriage is in trouble and Debra uncovers a big secret.
