As part of bike week here in Quebec which goes from September 2 – 5, Canadian rock legends Bachman & Turner will be performing an outdoor concert. A great way to end the summer!
Guitarist/vocalist Randy Bachman (formerly of The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive) and bassist Fred Turner are back together for the first time in around 20 years. Not only together, but they are hitting the road for some shows.
After Bachman-Turner Overdrive broke up in 1977 the two musicians went their own ways with Randy focusing on a solo career and Fred indulging in his passion for cars. When Randy was recording a solo album in 2009 he asked his old buddy Fred to provide vocals for one track and one thing led to another and the two decided to reform as a duo.
In 2010 they released a self-titled album. As you would expect the album was filled with full-throttle rock songs. Sizzling guitar solos, pulsating drums and loud vocals are to be found everywhere. Their music has origins in 70s rock with some modern touches.
Live you can expect to hear the big hits from their large back catalogue mixed with new songs. On stage they are backed by veteran musicians Brent Howard, Marc LaFrance and Mick Dalla-Vie.
