It is bizarre and then on second thought not so bizarre that Jim Cuddy (co-frontman of Canada’s legendary Blue Rodeo) has a song on his third solo album about the Prince William-Kate Middleton wedding. “Everyone Watched the Wedding” is filled with the type of romance and sentimentality that anyone who has followed his career has come to expect from Cuddy. He shoots from the hip and the bullets are usually chocolate. Earnest, but heartfelt is how I would describe Cuddy, his vocal style and this album. The other songs on the album run the gamut from country-rock, roots-rock and on to some twangy numbers that feature an impressive amount of horns.
