The search for the “one” for Ted continues, Lily and Marshall want to become pregnant, Barney decides to try and find his biological father, and Robin attempts to feel like a real New Yorker. So basically, things are the usual with this gang of friends. Keep your eyes open for guest appearances by Katy Perry, Jennifer Morrison, John Lithgow, and Jorge Garcia.
Episode 1: Big Days: Marshall (played by Jason Segal) and Lily (played by Alyson Hannigan) decide to try and get pregnant.
Episode 2: Cleaning House: Barney (played by Neil Patrick Harris) talks the gang into spending a weekend packing up his childhood house after his mom sells it.
Episode 3: Unfinished: Barney had so much fun as bro workers that he and Ted (played by Josh Radnor) are going to do it again designing a building for GNB, but Ted doesn’t want to do it.
Episode 4: Subway Wars: The gang informs Robin (played by Cobie Smulders) that she in not really a real New Yorker because she has never seen Woody Allen.
Episode 5: Architect of Destruction: Ted is now doubting he wants to design the building after Barney tells him it will be on the site of the Arcadian Hotel.
Episode 6: Baby Talk: Marshall and Lily have trouble agreeing on names for their future baby.
Episode 7: Canning Randy: Randy (played by Will Forte) at work is really testing Marshall’s not firing anyone stance.
Episode 8: Natural History: The gang attends the party at the Natural History Museum, the biggest social event of the season in New York. And all Robin and Barney want to do is touch the exhibits.
Episode 9: Glitter: Robin insults suits, so Barney shows the gang her Canadian kids television show to get back at her.
Episode 10: Blitzgiving: Ted is exciting about hosting his first Thanksgiving dinner, but he become preoccupied by the fact that he left the bar early one night and he’s become the blitz.
Episode 11: The Mermaid Theory: Zoey (played by Jennifer Morrison) becomes part of the gang, but they find her husband (played by Kyle MacLachlan), The Captain, frightening.
Episode 12: False Positive: For 36 hours Marshall and Lily believe they are pregnant.
Episode 13: Bad News: Lily is a little thrown when her fertility doctor (played by Neil Patrick Harris) looks a lot like Barney.
Episode 14: Last Words: The gang travels to St. Cloud, Minnesota for Marshall’s father’s (played by Bill Fagerbakke) funeral.
Episode 15: Oh Honey: Zoey sets up Ted with her attractive cousin Honey (played by Katy Perry).
Episode 16: Desperation Day: Zoey and Ted are dating while Lily is really missing Marshall, who has stayed in Minnesota to help out his mom (played by Suzie Plakson).
Episode 17: Garbage Island: Barney doesn’t want to admit that he likes Robin’s co-worker, Nora (played by Nazanin Boniadi).
Episode 18: A Change of Heart: The whole gang gets their hearts checked. Barney is a little scared, so Lily goes with him.
Episode 19: Legendaddy: While the gang is over at Barney’s trying to watch March Madness, there’s a knock at the door and it’s his father (played by John Lithgow).
Episode 20: The Exploding Meatball Sub: Marshall quits GNB and both Lily and Barney are upset.
Episode 21: Hopeless: Barney convinces the gang to take on different personalities on a wild night out with his father, Jerry.
Episode 22: The Perfect Cocktail: Zoey is still trying to halt the destruction of the Arcadian with the help of Marshall.
Episode 23: Landmarks: Ted has now gone over to Zoey’s side in regards to the Arcadian…or has he?
Episode 24: Challenge Accepted: While Barney and Ted argue over who is going to push the button to destroy the Arcadian, Marshall, who knows a bout of food poisoning is coming on, goes on a job interview.
