Another British television program that has been redone for American audiences. This makes me nervous as they usually aren’t done well. The Brits have a certain way and we have not cracked the code in order to translate the quality. When I then saw that the cast included Joan Cusack and William H. Macy I was a little more hopeful. After watching it I have to say it is a success. It is American yet not. There is a sense of anarchy and disorder that is unlike your normal American show. Political correctness and good taste go out the window. It is refreshing. Check it out and see what I am talking about.
