Leandra Ramm – One Night With You

In an interesting combination of pop and classical music, Leandra Ramm’s One Night With You showcases her amazing voice.  The 25-year-old mezzo-soprano is classically trained and in the beginning of her career appeared in plenty of operas like Man of La Mancha, Rigoletto and Cosi Fan Tutte.  A smattering of original songs is sprinkled into some loved Broadway tunes.  Ramm lends her wonderful pipes to songs like “Suddenly Seymour” from Little Shop of Horrors, “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” from Jesus Christ Superstar and “If I Loved You” from Carousel.  Plus there is one cover of Willie Nelson’s “Crazy”.  Her voice and the wide variety of styles incorporated into the 17 tracks means that her target audience is quite wide. The lead single off the album is the original “Dream Angel” and with her voice coupled with the interesting arrangement it is nothing like every second song you hear on the radio.  The song is so good that she had to include two very different versions of the song on the album.
