In between his busy life as a full-time worker and a husband/father, Wayne Kafka managed to record this double album. That shows some incredible time management skills and a true passion for music in my book. As a songwriter there is no doubt that the man uses music as his therapy as the album is filled with incredible personal songs. He is not afraid to give us a piece of himself through his music and the songs obviously mean a lot to him. Music is obviously a shared experience between him and his listeners. Though there is plenty of serious and occasionally dark stuff here there is also a glimmer of hope that is pervasive. The music that accompanies the words is just as interesting as the guitar based accompaniments are definitely not traditional rock or pop, but has an edge to it while being very modern at the same time.
