Yui, Mio, Ritsu, Tsumugi, and Azusa are high school students who have fought long and hard to keep their school’s Light Music Club alive. They have succeeded and are not regarded as legit rock musicians. At the beginning of a new school year their plates are full once again as they have exams to prepare for, colleges to choose, recruiting new members as four out of five of them will be graduating, and friends that will go separate ways. Thankfully their homeroom teacher/death metal lead vocalist Sawako Yamada will be there to help them through it all.
Episode 1: Seniors!: It is the beginning of Yui, Mio, Ritsu, and Tsumungi’s last year of high school.
Episode 2: Clean-Up!: While cleaning up the cupboard in the music room the friends discover a vintage guitar that used to belong to Sawako.
Episode 3: Drummer!: After watching some videos of the band performing Ritsu decides that she doesn’t want to be hidden behind the drums any longer.
Episode 4: Field Trip!: Mio is less than impressed by the behaviour of the other members of the Light Music Club while on a field trip to Kyoto.
Episode 5: Staying Behind!: They second years are all still at school while the seniors are in Kyoto and they decide they are still going to have fun.
Episode 6: Rainy Season!: It is rainy season in Japan and Yui tries to keep her guitar from getting soaked on her walk to school.
Episode 7: Tea Party!: Mio thinks back to what happened over the previous summer.
Episode 8: The Future!: Yui’s uncertainty about filling in her future plans on her questionnaire has a domino effect.
Episode 9: Finals!: Even though finals are around the corner Yui is distracted by a talent contest she was guided to by her neighbour.
Episode 10: Teacher!: The girls all see that Sawako is acting strange so they decide to follow her after school to see what is going on.
Episode 11: Hot!: Summer is here and it is too hot for the band to practice so they decide to stay cool by telling ghost stories.
Episode 12: Summer Festival!: Summer vacation has arrived and the girls decide to do something different and instead of attending music camp go to the SummerFest music festival.
Episode 13: Late Summer Greeting Card!: While the other girls are writing exams, Azusa hangs out with Ui.
