2012 is the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. Its tale has held millions enraptured up to this day. Many a person is fascinated by the ship, its passengers and what occurred that fateful night. The tragedy, large scale deaths and all the stories related to the mighty ship going down has led to many a television special or film treatment. This television special, presented in both 2D and 3D, was produced by A&E and offers the viewer eye blowing clarity in its presentation of the sunken ship. That along with several previously untold stories have made this a must have for Titanic fanatics.
This experience was made possible by an expedition done with the collaboration of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute and RMS Titanic, Incorporated. They filmed the wreckage using high-definition video, 3D HD video and modeling. Incredible.
The stories that we’ve previously never heard before are told using voice overs by actors. Most of the stories end up being ones that you will never forget as they are so moving. The Titanic was said to be an unsinkable ship so when it went down most were shocked. That it went down on its maiden voyage made it even more remarkable.
As it is only 45 minutes it doesn’t go on too long and is a nice introductory piece for younger people.
