Season one was called Spartacus: Blood and Sand and this is the sequel. The Roman Republic has its hands full with the gladiator rebellion. Spartacus is on a vengeance mission due to the enslavement of his wife and he is leading the freed slaves. The ten episodes of this season are filled with blood, lust, violence, sex, and battles.
Episode 1: Fugitivus: Spartacus (played by Liam McIntyre) begins to realize that being the leader of the freed slaves is not going to be a walk in the park.
Episode 2: A Place in This World: Spartacus leads an attack that frees up a villa.
Episode 3: The Greater Good: The freed slaves begin to splinter apart once they find out what happened to Naevia (Lesley-AnneBrandt) and it is up to Spartacus to try and keep them from imploding.
Episode 4: Empty Hands: Spartacus tries to lead his men to the safety offered by the woods and Lucretia (played by Lucy Lawless) spies on Ilithyia (played by Viva Bianca).
Episode 5: Libertus: Due to her plotting and planning, Ilithyia’s marriage to Glaber (played by Craig Parker) at risk.
Episode 6: Chosen Path: Spartacus and his men train hard while Lucretia and Ilithyia become close once again.
Episode 7: Sacramentum: Spartacus and his men begin trying to free others who have fallen prisoner.
Episode 8: Balance: Spartacus sees a glimmer of an opportunity for vengeance.
Episode 9: Monsters: Spartacus uses his influence as a leader to convince the men to group together to wage battle against the Romans, who are attacking.
Episode 10: Wrath of the Gods: With hope slim due to a lack of supplies, Spartacus tries to keep his men inspired and focused.
