Festival du Nouveau Cinema 2012 Wrap-Up

Prizes were handed out to all the deserving winners of the 2012 Festival du Nouveau Cinema.  Once again this year the quality of films was very high making the jobs of the judges on the different juries really have to work hard to come up with a winner.

FEATURE FILMS

Louve D’Or – presented by Quebecor

Best feature film in the International Selection ($ 15,000 cash from Quebecor)

FNC LAB

Innovation Award FNC Lab – Interactive Work / Projects web
Awarded to the Most Innovative work for new platforms ($ 1,000 cash)

BEAR 71 Jeremy Mendes and Leanne Allison (Canada, 2012)

* The jury was composed of FNC LAB Pascale Barret, Philippe Lamarre and Bruno Masi.

HONOURABLE MENTION

JOBS BY Tom Donahue (USA, 2012) on the life of the casting director Marion Dougherty, who has never received Oscar (because there none in this category), the FNC has decided to give an honorable mention to members of the Casting Directors Association of Quebec (ADCQ) to highlight their contribution to cinema. The President of the ADCQ, Andrea Kenyon, accepted this statement with honor at the ceremony Awards Festival.

The winners will all receive a wolf created and sculpted by the sculptor Pierre Dupras.
