The first live action film made based on the popular cartoon characters. It is the darkest of the four, but really brings the cartoon characters to life. The gang at Jim Henson famous studio (Creature Shop) really allows the viewer to get to know the differences between each of the turtles and see how they work together as a unit

After coming into contact with a mysterious substance called the Ooze, four little turtles are transformed into giant turtles. They can now walk upright, speak and have a fondness for pizza. A rat named Splinter (played by Kevin Clash) discovers them and begins to train them to become ninjas. The go to battle against the evil Shredder (played by James Saito), who wants to control the world.
