If this series came out years ago you would have laughed it off as ridiculous. Today, the world is an entirely different place and that does not mean a better one.  A military drama The Last Resort centers on the Colorado, a U.S. ballistic submarine, and its crew.  While they are deep underwater an order comes in to launch nuclear missiles at Pakistan.  Because of the message and the delivery method the captain and the XO both question the order and want confirmation of it verbally from someone in authority.  When what they get is the government being evasive they make a radical decision which ends up making them and their entire crew enemies of the United States.
