Fairy tale based adult shows and films have become very popular lately. Once Upon a Time is one of the more successful ones. Storybrooke, Maine is a town filled with storybook characters who are under some sort of curse. It seems like Emma (played by Jennifer Morrison) is the only person who can save everyone. A timeless battle begins.
In season two the curse has been broken and magic has now arrived meaning that anyone could be showing up. The exiled characters all have to deal with memories that have now come back to them and the changes in their reality.
Love, sacrifice, vengeance, loyalty, mystery, romance, and, of course, the battle between good and evil with be featured in the storylines this season.
Episode 1: Broken: Due to Gold’s (played by Robert Carlyle) actions at the wishing well everyone in Storybrooke has to deal with who and what they really are. In the fairytale world Prince Phillip (played by Julian Morris) and Mulan (played by Jamie Chung) come up against a formidable foe.
Episode 2: We Are Both: Mary Margaret (played by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Emma disappear. David (played by Josh Dallas) begins the search for them.
Episode 3: Lady of the Lake: Emma and Mary Margaret team up with Mulan, Aurora (played by Sarah Bolger) and Lancelot (played by Sinqua Walls) in an attempt to get back to Storybrooke. In the fairytale world King George (played by Alan Dale) poisons Snow White (played by Ginnifer Goodwin) so Prince Charming has to go to the Lady of the Lake for the cure.
Episode 4: The Crocodile: Belle (played by Emilie de Ravin) issues an ultimatum to Gold. The dwarves try to find some fairy dust in the Storybrooke mines.
Episode 5: The Doctor: In the Enchanted Forest, Emma and Mary Margaret investigate the ogre massacre. In Storybrooke Regina (played by Lana Parilla) tries to resist the urge to use magic.
Episode 6: Tallahassee: Still in the Enchanted Forest, Emma works with Captain Hook (played by Colin O’Donoghue) to locate a magic compass which could get her and Mary Margaret back to Storybrooke. Aurora is in the Enchanted Forest while Henry (played by Jared Gilmore) is in Storbrooke but they have the same dream.
Episode 7: Child of the Moon: A killer is loose in Storybrooke and Ruby (played by Meghan Ory) is suspect number one. Leroy (played by Lee Arenberg) uncovers something that could help Emma and Mary Margaret get back to Storybrooke.
Episode 8: Into the Deep: Emma and Mary Margaret have to stop Cora (played by Barbara Hershey) from getting her hands on the compass. Regina and Gold dangle David with the aim of having Mary Margaret surface.
Episode 9: Queen of Hearts: Hook joins up with Cora to regain the compass from Emma and Mary Margaret. Regina and Gold uncover that Cora is about to reopen the portal.
Episode 10: The Cricket Game: Regina is accused of murder. Snow White and Price Charming have to decide what to do with the Evil Queen once they’ve caught her.
Episode 11: The Outsider: Mary Margaret and David go looking for a house. Gold experiments to see if he can cross the town border without losing his memory.
Episode 12: In the Name of the Brother: Cora meets her daughter and Gold meets Belle. Dr. Whale (played by David Anders) treats the outsider.
Episode 13: Tiny: Anton the Giant (played by Jorge Garcia) goes on a rampage after Henry, Gold and Emma leave town. Greg (played by Ethan Embry) asks Belle what happened to him on the night of the accident.
Episode 14: Manhattan: In fairy tale world Rumplestiltskin (played by Robert Carlyle) fights in the ogre wars and uncovers his destiny. Regina and Hook try to locate Gold’s most prized possessions.
Episode 15: The Queen is Dead: Hook goes to New York to find Gold in order to kill him. In fairy tale world the Blue Fairy (played by Keegan Connor Tracy) offers Snow White a way to save her mother.
Episode 16: The Miller’s Daughter: In fairy tale world Rumplestiltskin teaches magic to Cora. The king demands she create gold from straw.
Episode 17: Welcome to Storybrooke: Regina wants to kill Mary Margaret. Henry wants to end all the fighting by ending magic.
Episode 18: Selfless, Brave and True: August (played by Eion Bailey) tries to figure out a way to stop himself from turning into a wooden boy. Mary Margaret tries to deal with the part she played in Cora’s death.
Episode 19: Lacey: Reluctantly David agrees to help Gold reunite with Belle. Regina has given Belle a false set of memories.
Episode 20: The Evil Queen: Regina has a plan she believes will bring herself and Henry back to the Enchanted Forest. Her plan centers around a curse that could destroy Storybrooke.
Episode 21: Second Star to the Right: Gold contemplates telling Lacey (played by Emilie de Ravin) about his magic powers. The bean field has been destroyed and Emma, Mary Margaret and David go about looking for Regina.
Episode 22: And Straight On ‘Til Morning: Greg and Tamara (played by Sonequa Martin-Green) set off the destruction of Storybrooke. Regina finds herself in the unlikely role of savior.
