At just over an hour of running time this is the perfect film for kids. They have Mickey, Donald Duck and other favourite Disney characters to entertain them and it is not so long that they lose interest. Plus you get a few shorts thrown in for good measure. The Disney studios always seem to know what will work for kids.
This film was first released in 1993 and is a kid friendly version of “A Christmas Carol”. Scrooge McDuck is Ebeneezer Scrooge, a man who is too miserly to buy Christmas presents. He seems to not know anything about kindness and generosity. One evening two wise ghosts (Goofy and Jiminy Cricket) try to guide him to a more charitable way along with the help of his nephew Fred (Donald Duck) and clerk, Bob Crachit (Mickey Mouse). With all these great examples around him Scrooge begins to learn the true meaning of Christmas.
