For all you animation space geeks out there shed a tear and raise a glass as this might be the last season for Futurama. Futurama was Matt Groening’s next series after The Simpsons. The Simpsons is still going strong nearing its third decade while Futurama only seems to have made it to its fourth.

A good thing is that if it is done it went out on a high note with plenty of strong and funny episodes. Amazingly for an animated show the finale was emotional and poignant.

Episode 1: Forty Percent Leadbelly: Bender has the opportunity to meet his hero, who happens to be a singer who has spent most of his life in jail. With the aid of a scientist Bender goes about making a copy of his famous guitar and mayhem ensues.

Episode 2: 2-D Blacktop: Professor Farnsworth finds himself involved with some tough street racers.

Episode 3: T: The Terrestrial: Fry gets left behind during a forbidden scouting mission to Omicron Persei 8.

Episode 4: Fry and Leela’s Big Fling: Fry and Leela try to find a private location for some alone time. Then a whole Planet of the Apes breaks out.

Episode 5: The Inhuman Torch: Bender realizes a dream he has had his whole life when he becomes a fire fighter. One thing lead to another and soon the planet is in jeopardy.

Episode 6: Saturday Morning Fun Pit: The characters of Futurama star in an episode that is done in the style of three popular cartoons of the past.

Episode 7: Calculon 2.0: Bender unearths the remains of Calculon. Calculon is shocked to find out how much the world has changed.

Episode 8: Assie Come Home: While on a rough planet Bender is robbed by a street gang. He sets about trying to get back what they have taken from him.

Episode 9: Leela and the Genestalk: Leela is suffering from squidification and undergoes a transformation. She begins looking for a cure.

Episode 10: Game of Tones: In order to figure out the meaning behind an old alien song the gang invades Fry’s dreams.

Episode 11: Murder on the Planet Express: The crew embarks on a team building exercise that goes all wrong. They find themselves trapped on the ship with an intimidating alien.

Episode 12: Stench and Stenchibility: Zoidberg falls in love with the flower girl who doesn’t seem to mind his smell. Bender decides he was born to dance and so enters a tap dancing competition.

Episode 13: Meanwhile: It seems likely that Fry and Leela will finally get married. That is if Professor Farnworth’s latest invention doesn’t muck things up.
