It is a 24/7 kind of job when you are the head of the CIA’s Los Angeles branch of the Counter Terrorist Unit. This kind of time commitment has obviously made Jack Bauer (played by Kiefer Sutherland) pay a heavy price. We see that his family relationships have been stretched to the limit. Especially that between him and his wife, Teri (played by Leslie Hope). Jack and Teri, who were separated for a time, are now back together and trying to patch up their marriage. That will have to wait when Jack gets the call that there is going to be an assassination attempt on the life of President hopeful, Senator David Palmer (played by Dennis Haysbert). Doing his job and protecting the politician will lead to the longest day of Jack’s life.

There are rumours that there is going to be a film version of this extremely popular television that ran for eight seasons. It was popular because of Kiefer Sutherland, the continuous action and the fact that it was different in that it told its stories in real time. The pace takes some getting used to but once you do the show is quite engaging.
