Does the world really need another Justin Bieber documentary? My answer is no especially at a time when his popularity outside the Beliebers or his most militant of fans is at an all-time low because of his recent collections of misbehaviours (to put it mildly). Yet here it is another behind-the-scenes affair into the life of Justin Bieber on his 150-date world tour to support his album Believe.
When you get to the nuts and bolts of the whole thing it is all very typical. Interviews with the subject, behind-the-scenes stuff from the tour, never before seen scenes (to satisfy all those ardent fans who have seen everything else), and appearances by Scooter Braun and Usher. Nothing earth shattering here.
What I did appreciate was the parts with the Biebs talking about growing up in the bright lights of the spotlight of fame. Whether you are a fan or not you have to admit that this cannot be fun and even the most solid person would falter at times. Now I am not trying to make excuses for peeing in a bucket and his pending DUI stuff but it is not all fun and games when it comes to the paparazzi, crazed fans, dealing with social media, and the media in general.
