nikita the complete fourth and final seasonIn season one Nikita (played by Maggie Q) was plucked off the streets where she was eking out an existence as a small time criminal and proceeds to be trained by a covert government agency to be a trained assassin.  She picked up the skills quickly and became one of Division’s best and most deadly agents. When Nikita figures out what Division is really about she decides to go rogue and try and take down the entire operation using a mole she has on the inside.

After only three seasons the network (CW) informed the powers that be behind this series that they were to be canceled.  Only giving them six episodes to tie loose ends together seems like too little. Things are definitely rushed but my hat is off to them as they have trimmed all fat making things streamlined and focused.

Episode 1: Wanted: Nikita is still on the run after being framed for the assassination of the President of the United States. An ENN news reporter begins to look into what really happened.

Episode 2: Dead or Alive: Michael (played by Shane West) refuses to discuss their relationship with Nikita. He does tell her that the group is going to continue to try to clear her name.

Episode 3: Set-Up: Amanda (played by Amanda Clarke) has planted evident indicating that Pakistan hired Nikita to kill the President. As a result the relationship between the U.S. and Pakistan deteriorates.

Episode 4: Pay-Off: Amanda is relieved of her duty as leader of the Shop. Jones (played by David S. Lee) then offers Nikita and the team a deal.

Episode 5: Bubble: Nikita begins to see the light at the end of the tunnel in regards to her war against the Shop when Ryan (played by Noah Bean) reveals something that could change everything. Michael thinks about what would come next for him and Nikita.

Episode 6: Canceled: Nikita decides to end things her way. It is up to Michael to try and talk her down before she is killed.
