Il Divo means star or celebrity in Italian and these four young men have become just that. They are of the opera/pop genre of music and after being discovered by Simon Cowell (of American Idol fame) they have gone on in just a few years to become worldwide stars.
The members, Carlos Marin (Spain), Urs Bühler (Switzerland), David Miller (United States), and Sébastien Izambard (France), are from different corners of the globe, but with their voices of angels make beautiful music together. They are like a much thinner and younger version of The Three Tenors. They sing their songs in English, Latin, Spanish, French, and Italian. Recording versions of songs like Toni Braxton’s “Unbreak My Heart” in Spanish, Sinatra’s “My Way” in Italian and Secret Garden’s “You Raise Me Up”, they have sold millions of concert tickets and albums.
