Kurios: Cabinet of Curiosities is Contemporary Circus at Its Finest

Since its debut in April of 2014 the latest Cirque du Soleil (its 35th since 1984) production has earned rave reviews from whoever has seen it.  The show will ask the question of whether what you have seen is reality or just a product of your imagination.

This show is the brainchild of Michel Laprise, a man who previously had worked with Madonna on her MDNA tour, and tells the tale of a 19th century inventor who creates a machine that defies all laws governing time, space and dimension.  The goal is to reinvent everything around him.

As we have come to expect from Cirque du Soleil there are plenty of innovative scenes within the show.  These include an aerial bike, handbalancing on chairs, contortion, Russian cradle, and a clown act.

Everything in Kurios is top notch from the music, which is a fusion of electro swing and jazz, written by a team consisting of Raphaël Beau, Guy Dubuc and Marc Lessard to the eye catching costumes by Phillippe Guillotel.
