Though she has made plenty of change ($) off of the way she looks and dances rather than her voice which is shaky to say the least, I have to give some respect to Shakira in that she records music which is eccentric. From the lyrics with odd word choices to the fact that Blake Shelton and a banjo make appearances on another track (“Medecine”) there is no predicting what the lady is going to do next. She could go the easy route like her other pop contemporaries but she remains firmly in left field. That being said the lead single off the album “Can’t Remember to Forget You” demonstrates that the lady does know what will sell as it pairs her and Rihanna in a duet that is fairly steamy. Also she cashes in on the World Cup mania going on now with the theme song “La La La (Brazil 2014)”. After a couple of listens you will find some of the fifteen tracks a little repetitive sounding and might start skipping a couple.
