WWE: Batista – The Animal Unleashed – Blu-ray Edition

wwe batista the animal unleashedThis guy must be important to the WWE because a whole documentary touting his return to wrestling has been made. A portrait of the man and the wrestler has been constructed. It takes them forty minutes to pump this guy’s tires. A little long and excessive for my liking.

We get an idea of what he has accomplished in the squared circle as well as what he spends his time away from his job doing. The interview is okay though it does lack a shovel. Meaning they don’t get too deep into the psyche of the man behind the character. Fans will add this to their collection just because he is their man rather than because of the quality of the production.

If you do not know the man or followed his career then you won’t know he took a couple of years off of wrestling to pursue other things like acting. Batista is now preparing to make his return on the grandest stage of them all – the Royal Rumble. We are allowed behind the scene to see as he prepares for his return to WWE. The man talks of his hobbies like automobiles, his costume issues, injuries that have plagued him throughout his wrestling career, and his time spent mastering Jiu Jitsu.

We see he is not really the animal that his character has been built up to be. Rather he is a quiet and soft-spoken gentleman. He loves to shop and is interested in clothes. Not exactly the built up picture of a muscular and tattooed wrestler. What they don’t really get into were the reasons behind his leaving the WWE and wrestling. You are left wanting more.
