Osheaga has become the biggest arts and music festival of its kind in the world. With each edition Osheaga gets bigger and better. The multi-day music festival held on Parc Jean Drapeau is in its ninth year and it doesn’t look to be slowing down.
One great thing about Osheaga is that it features music from all different genres. Rock, pop, hip hop, rap and electronica will be represented. Musical acts this year include Outkast, Sam Roberts Band, Foster the People, Haim, J. Cole, Jack White, Matt Mays, Artic Monkeys, Kodaline, Skrillex, Serena Ryder, Modest Mouse, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Lorde, Chromeo, Ingrid Michaelson, AFI, The Temper Trap, Kate Nash, Vance Joy, Gogol Bordello, Lykke Li, London Grammar, and Pusha T. That is a whole lot of music to take in over three days. To accommodate all this there is a new stage that has been added this year – Vallée Coca Cola.
To round out your Osheaga experience there is stuff other than music going on. There are also art exhibits happening throughout the city around the time of the festival. Inside the Sennheiser Igloo there is something called Silent Disco. Silent Disco will be completely silent unless up put on a pair of Sennheiser headphones which will transport you to different musical eras. The TD Comfort Zone gives you a place to chill out and relax. An XBox One Osheaga Play kiosque will give you a chance to play some cool games. Then for young music fans there is the Kids’ Zone.
Proof that this is a hugely popular festival is that the day passes and General Admission 3-Day Passes for all three days are sold out. All that is left is Gold and Osheaga Experience 3-Day Passes.
