This tournament allows young stars to announce their arrival on the soccer scene.  The women on these 16 teams are looking to win as well as signal they are ready to move up to the national teams.  Some players to look out for is defender Griedge Mbock Bathy of France, midfielder Sara Daebritz of Germany, forward Ri Un-Sim of North Korea, keeper Lily Alfeld of New Zealand, keeper Romane Bruneau of France, forward Byanca of Brazil, forward Nichelle Prince of Canada, and forward Summer Green of the United States.

Only two from each group will advance to the knockout stages.  Canada is part of Group A that also includes North Korea, Ghana and Finland.  The hosts will be in tough to make it out of the group stage in the tournament.  The 16 teams include:  Canada, United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, England, Ghana, New Zealand, Paraguay, Finland, Germany, France, Nigeria, China, Republic of Korea, and North Korea.

It is exciting for Montreal soccer fans not only that we will get to see some of the best young female soccer players from around the world, but that we are hosting one of the semi final games along with the finals.  Tickets are on sale and are very affordable, so take your young soccer fans along with you.
