Like the film might resonate with some watchers as it is like a chunk of time from life the music on this might form the soundtrack of your life. Songs like “Yellow” by Coldplay from 2000, “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley from 2006 and “Someone That I Used to Know” by Gotye from 2012 can be the background of different stages in people’s lives. All the songs except for “Band on the Run” by Paul McCartney and Wings and the only new song, a Jeff Tweedy of the group Wilco track called “Summer Noon” are from the time in between 2000 and 2012. It is like traveling through a music time warp. Music does create that kind of connection with a listener. Whoever selected the songs for this film certainly does have an ear for music that leaves an impression once heard. All sixteen tracks whether by The Black Keys, Arcade Fire, Bob Dylan or The Flaming Lips all are catchy and provide the emotional background for different scenes.
