For six seasons we were entertained and stupefied by the idiotic, incompetent, superficial, racist and generally ridiculous officers of Washoe County in Reno, Nevada. Just when you thought they could not become worse police officers they did. What else could you possibly expect from a group led by a lieutenant who wears short shorts as part of his uniform? Not much is the correct answer.
For those not familiar with the show it is a parody of a reality series. In this a camera crew follows around the deputies of Reno’s Sheriff’s Department as they go about their jobs. The cast does a good job depicting the many quirks of each of their characters.
As a demonstration of the series’ popularity they attracted guests such as Aziz Ansari, Wayne Brady, Danny DeVito, Seth Green, Chelsea Handler, Jonah Hill, George Lopez, Jane Lynch, Rainn Wilson, Paul Rudd and Patton Oswalt.
