Think Like a Man Too – Blu-ray Edition

think like a man tooThe friends are all back together in Think Like a Man Too. A few years have passed and the couples’ relationships have grown, changed and evolved. This time a wedding is involved and bachelor and bachelorette parties all taking place in Sin City – Las Vegas.

Las Vegas is the site of the reunion of the friends. The occasion is to celebrate the wedding of Candace (Regina Hall – Scary Movie, Law Abiding Citizen) and Michael (Terrence Jenkins – Think Like a Man, Burlesque). They have planned their wedding with the aid of a wedding planner (Cheryl Hines – Waitress, RV) and have one night to let loose with the bachelor and bachelorette parties.

Cedric (Kevin Hart – Ride Along, The Five-Year Engagement) is the best man and he is taking his duties seriously. From booking the Constantine room at Caesar’s to reserving a poolside tent at the hotel’s topless bar to planning a night of gambling and strip clubs, Cedric wants the bachelor party to be perfect for Michael, Dominic (Michael Ealy – Underworld: Awakening, 2 Fast 2 Furious), Jeremy (Jerry Ferrara – from television’s Entourage), Zeke (Romany Malco – The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Blades of Glory), and Bennett (Gary Owen – Daddy Day Care, Who Made the Potatoe Salad?).

As for the bachelorette party, if they can get away from Michael’s mother Loretta (Jenifer Lewis – Cast Away, Cars), the ladies, Mya (Megan Good – Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Stomp the Yard), Lauren (Taraji P. Henson – The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Date Night), Tish (Wendi McLendon-Covey – from television’s Reno 911!), Sonia (La La Anthony – You Got Served, Soul Plane), and Kristen (Gabrielle Union – Bad Boys II, Bring It On), hope to have a night to remember.

A gang of buddies film of the worst kind. It is supposed to in essence be a comedy and yet there were maybe a couple of funny parts. And most of the laughs ended up being pity laughs. Kevin Hart is a funny guy in small doses. If he is on screen too much the typical type of character he plays gets to be grating. He is on screen too much in Tim Story’s (Barbershop, Fantastic Four) film and just ends up being irritating.

Add on top of that poor dialogue and corny situations and you get a mess. Too bad because you have some acting talent with Dennis Haysbert, Jenifer Lewis, Michael Ealy, and Taraji P. Henson which is completely wasted. Disappointing because the first film was a decent one.

I didn’t expect much from this one and it is just what you would expect. Not much. The type of film you can watch on a cold, lazy day where you don’t have much else going on.
