The island of Sodor has undergone a terrible storm. A landslide that happened during the storm has uncovered a set of odd footprints. The footprints have caught the attention of Thomas and Percy. They wonder what could have made these odd types of footprints but every time they think they are close an obstacle or danger rears its ugly head. New friends are made during the search for the truth and they end up helping Thomas uncover the surprising truth and face his fears.
