Sponsored by the New Horizons for Seniors Program Engaging Seniors and Strengthening Communities. It is a show with a front screen projection – an area for the movie and for small snippets of our seniors’ life stories. How they met their spouse, starting over again, love in their 70’s, leaving Poland, fleeing during the war and later being sent to England and then meeting a spouse. Or leaving Holland after the war with nothing but a bag of clothes and arriving in winter in Quebec. These snippets are throughout the video in taped interviews, letters being read aloud, photos on the screen, and each one is tied together with a song from their past that evokes that memory. As you probably surmised this is a project for our older players and most are over 80. This is to help with their memories and memory loss. Some of the songs which will be sung live from our more junior cast, including These Moments to Remember, Memories, Try to Remember, Born Free, Today, People (from Funny Girl), The Anniversary Song, Oh How We Danced, Yabba Dabba, I’m Always Chasing Rainbows and Some Enchanted Evening.
