U2 is a huge band in Montreal as they are in most places on the planet, but it seems like we Montrealers have a special relationship with the Irish band. For God’s sake, they are even credited with saving the Montreal Alouettes. We love ‘em!
The Irish quartet is not a band who does things in a small way. Their live shows and stages are legendary. From huge lemons to stages shaped like a heart the boys from Dublin go large before they go home.
What will also be large is the amount of people that will take in the four shows. An estimated 60,000 total or 20,000 a night will come to hear Bono and the lads play their hits like “Even Better Than the Real Thing”, “Where the Streets Have No Name”, “Mysterious Ways”, “I Will Follow”, and “Sunday Bloody Sunday”. The shows should be significant in length as they have been playing an average of 23 songs per night.
