slash live at the roxyWidely acknowledge as one of the modern rock era’s most talented guitarists, Slash – formerly of Guns ‘n Roses and Velvet Revolver – has been the man behind several of the most famous guitar solos over the past thirty years or so.

Despite the fact that those groups no longer are together he continues on. This live recording of him performing along with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators demonstrates that he is still in good form with talent to spare. He wears his trademark hat and curls and is as laid back on stage as he ever was.

Back before he was someone that people would pay good money to see Slash was playing in small clubs like The Roxy, so you could say that the show is about him coming full circle and paying homage to his beginnings.  It is a treat that he played there and it was recorded (in 2014) as it really gives the viewer some up close and personal moments. It is so up close and personal that sometimes the fans in the front row obscure your view for flashes in all their excitement. Though they are not too pesky. The stage itself is also rather crowded as it is not huge and there are plenty of musicians on it.

Slash and his sidekicks run through songs from his entire career, meaning both from Velvet Revolver and Guns ‘n Roses as well as some solo stuff.
