The Most Montreal Festival of the Year Happens This Weekend – Poutinefest

poutinefest previewAs summertime in Montreal is pretty much back to back festivals it is not surprising that we are now hosting a fairly new one in Poutinefest. Quebec/Montreal is famous for our poutines and so it makes complete sense that Poutinefest has come to be.

Co-hosted by the French language newspaper Journal de Montreal and Le Smoking BBQ, Poutinefest will appeal to many a hungry person. The entrance is free and there will be 16 food trucks and booths there providing people with a variety of different types of poutines. Alongside Le Smoking BBQ other food establishments like L’Gros Luxe, The Upper Deck Diner, Lucky’s Truck, Routine Poutine, Big D’s Dog House, Heart Attack Poutine, Bar Brutus, Fat Les Chips Stand, Golden Fries, Great Canadian Poutinerie, and Planète Poutine will be there. They will be serving mouthwatering varieties of poutine like duck confit, mac ‘n cheese, foie gras, and Italian. Anything you could imagine being served on a poutine will be there.

Besides the poutine there will be live music, giant games and booths. It is cash only so bring some or visit the ATMs on sit. In case of rain the festival will still go on as they will set up huge tents. Rain or shine dig in and enjoy the dish along with smoked meat and bagels that has put Montreal on the food map.
