During the summer in the Village Ste. Catherine becomes a pedestrian walkway. Underneath those great pink balls hanging above you get to walk around the area and partake in all those great terraces. Great living in the summer and the time is great.
It becomes even better due to the fact that public art event Aires Libres happens between May and September. The artists this year worked under the theme of Politics of Empathy. It goes beyond the solely political and delves into the empathetic. It is the perfect place to spend your 5a7s, weekends or even later into the summer evenings.
Plus, there are a lot of activities to do in the Village:
-free music shows every Tuesday at 12pm between St-Hubert and Papineau
-introduction to circus and performances dedicated to teenagers and young adults every Wednesday from 2pm to 5 pm at Serge-Garant Park (Beaudry station)
-outdoor free-screenings with Let Spread the Word: http://www.unmondeunvillage.com/userfiles/images/Image programmation.PNG
-a free-access piano
And the fun doesn’t stop there as there are even more upcoming events such as:
-Montreal Pride: from August 10 to 16
-Outdoor bazaar: from August 31 to September 6
-Montreal Fetish Weekend: from September 2 to 7
