In August of this year the world famous Irish group Celtic Woman played a gig in the Round Room at the Mansion House in Dublin. The gig was filmed for a PBS special and is now being released for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. It was a special show in that former full-time Celtic Woman members Meav Ni Mhoalchatha and Susan McFadden return to perform with them and making their debuts are Rebecca Winchworth, Mairead Carlin and Eabha McMahon.
Each woman in the group has a great voice and others like Mairead Nesbitt (fiddle) also play an instrument. The women are accompanied by Irish dancers, a full band and even a couple of bagpipers. Amongst the twenty-one songs is a mix of traditional Irish and contemporary songs. The ladies, thought they keep it rather low key, bring a fresh perspective to many of the songs.
