A Sweet Christmas at the Botanical Gardens

JBM012151Despite the fact that it is winter and we got 39 centimetres of snow yesterday you can still head over to the Botanical Gardens for some holiday fun. This year at the Montreal Botanical Gardens they have a special holiday exhibit called A Sweet Christmas.

Plants produce some of the sweetest flavours that make our traditional Christmas candies. Vanilla, licorice and mint are just some of the flavours plants give us. Without them our candy world would be a much more boring place. Plants even give us sugar, an essential ingredient of all sweets.

At the Botanical Gardens you can stroll through the exhibit learning all about these fragrant and flavourful plants. Learn things you did not know before at the same time that your senses will be thanking you. Sight and smell will be equally tantalized.

At the same time your entrance fee gives you access to the Insectarium.
