pablo alboran terralFlamenco music has long been associated with romance and Pablo Alborán uses the mélange to his benefit on Terral. The Spanish singer adds plenty of pop to the mixture and comes out with a musical soufflé that should appeal to many a music fan. His best attribute is his voice which is remarkable in its tone and beauty. Very seductive. You can see why he has become (this is his third album) one of the best-selling music acts in Spain. The beauty does not begin and end with his voice as the lyrics are well constructed and the music arrangements are top notch. The melodies are quite catchy with the acoustic arrangements being note perfect. The spare arrangements were the right call as they make the lyrics all that much more impactful. In other words, the twenty-five year old’s album is a winner. Most of the songs are in Spanish, but there are a couple in French, but don’t be scared off if you don’t understand either of those languages as you can appreciate the songs and their sentiments just fine without being able to speak them.
