Monster High is super popular with kids. Huge. Go into any Toys ‘r Us and you will see tons of Monster High merchandise. The latest addition to the DVD catalogue is Great Scarrier Reef.
Monster High is based on the sons and daughters of the most famous monsters. These young monsters have to come to grips with being monsters and deal with the trials and tribulations of high school at the same time. Thankfully they are doing this within the friendly confines of Monster High, a high school where they are accepted despite all their freakiness. Differences are celebrated and the monsters are all encouraged to be themselves.
Many of the ghouls attending Monster High get pulled into the school pool and they are somehow transported to the underwater world of the Great Scarrier Reef. Lagoona (voiced by Larissa Gallagher) has come home. The trip home not only gives her an opportunity to reconnect with friends and family but to face her flaws. To do this she will need the help of her close friends as she goes up against a frenemy from her past. All this while going up against a treacherous beast from the deep.
A cool aspect of this Monster High feature is there are some new characters introduced.
